About Me

Hey..  I live in Caboolture Queensland and I have just acquired after a long wait 3 lovely girls and our boy  whom we named Sir Lancelot..

Got our first egg and were we excited..!!

Getting used to the fact that we may no longer be able to grow free range vegetables as they dont mix well with our free range chooks..!!  So it appears that the veggies will have to be caged..  LOL...

Light Brahma light sussex and columbian wyandotte are all the same pattern some breeds allow smoky undercolour and striped saddle hackle and other dont. Cochins are nearlly all self colour except partridge and cuckoo of which there are really none that I know off. Hope that helps

Hello, My partner and I are new to all this so I hope you bare with us and our lack of knowledge.. We have One completed chook pen with at this point no chooks and another pen half finished.. That one may take a lil longer to complete as Steve has now returned to full time work.. I love surfing your site, but have been unable to find any easy and clear information on the explainations of the different colours that both Brahma and Cochins are available in.. I was wondering if some one could see their way clear to pointing me to a link that may be able to give me BOTH pictures and text on the subtle differences eg.. Light brahma.. Light Columbian Brahma.. etc..
Thanks Cid.
