The Victorian Rare Breeds Show had over 550 birds benched this year. This years show took place in late August.
Several Brahmas were on display in a variety of colours. One of our Junior members Tash Mahr took out top honours in the Brahma Classes winning Champion Brahma of Show with her Buff Columbian rooster 'Bryan'. Our club president will be so proud.
Tash also won firsts in the Buff Columbian hen, pullet, cockerel and cock bird classes.
Tash had strong competition from another member of our club, Paul, who benched some excellent Light Brahmas, taking out first in the Light pullet and cockerel classes.
Tash and her father Franz have been working very hard to improve the Buff Columbian Brahma and it looks like their hard work is paying off. Congratulations Tash! We look forward to seeing you have continued success in future shows.

The Central Coast Poultry Club annual Show is the 2nd largest annual poultry show in NSW. Second only to the Sydney Royal show. The quality of birds benched at the show is always very high.
This years show took place in late May and one of our junior club members Joel Giusti took out the top honours in the Brahma classes winning:
Best Brahma bantam or large
Best Light Brahma
Best A.O.C Brahma
I hear Joel's birds were excellently presented and his Light Hen (of very good quality) won Best Light and Best Brahma bantam or large.
Congratulations Joel. We look forward to hearing how you go at this years national Brahma Club of Australia annual show in July.
